The Court of Honor of the political party National Unity of Hope (UNE) expelled deputy Adim Maldonado. His expulsion is not final and he will seek the support of the National Executive Committee (CEN) to reverse the ruling, said the congressman.
The resolution states that the deputy committed a “serious offense”, which is why he was expelled. The above would leave him as an independent in the Congress of the Republic.
Maldonado indicates that the party regulations are not being complied with, so with the support of three other members of the CEN he made a call to the highest body of the political organization, since they are the ones who have the last word when talking regarding an expulsion. .
“For the call to be legal, the 21 members of the CEN must be summoned. Since we do not know where to find the lawyer –Sandra Torres–, we posted it and tagged her on social network X,” she indicated.
Maldonado signed this call with the support of José Inés Castillo, Luis Javier López and Estuardo Vargas. The latter was an ally of Torres during the last legislature.
The UNE CEN call is scheduled for Wednesday followingnoon. They would be the ones to confirm or annul the current expulsion of the congressman as a party member.
