The president of the non-profit association La Lifras (Belgian association aiming to unite and promote underwater activities in Belgium), Marc Lycops, knows well the two divers who allegedly disappeared in the Eau d’Heure Lakes, in the province of Namur. It was yesterday, Thursday.

And he confirms that they are indeed two divers from Waremme and Crisnée, without saying too much. “They often swim at the diving club at the Eau d’Heure dams . One of them (Editor’s note: the Crisnéen, born in 1964) dived for around fifteen years at the Crisnée diving club, but is no longer part of the club or the federation. The other (Editor’s note: the Waremmian, born 1977) is still part of it, the president confides to us, cautiously. These are people who are used to diving in this place, where the depth can be up to 45 meters deep.”
Both divers specialize in technical diving (a form of scuba diving that is practiced deeper than recreational diving) and were probably using an underwater scooter at the time of their disappearance.
