For several weeks, the crisis in the Red Sea has impacted the maritime freight costs of several countries, but with a more or less minimal impact on Morocco. But despite this stability that the Kingdom has enjoyed for almost a year, the prices of consumer goods still remain high. This is evidenced by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) which continues its upward trend, increasing by 3.6% in November 2023. This increase is the consequence of the increase in the food products index of 7.6%. and that of non-food products by 0.7%, explains the HCP in an information note relating to the CPI last November.
