Fantasies help to temporarily escape from reality, get positive emotions – and thus give the psyche and the whole body the opportunity to take a little break.
Why is obsessive daydreaming syndrome dangerous?
Because obsessive dreams can be somewhat addictive, a person may begin to neglect their responsibilities in the real world: miss deadlines, not do necessary housework, and reduce communication with loved ones. As a result, he may feel guilty towards others, which can cause chronic stress.
How to get rid of obsessive dreams
There are currently no treatment protocols for intrusive daydreaming syndrome. Typically, those who want to get rid of this condition are recommended first of all to reduce the level of everyday stress: maintain a sleep schedule, be physically active, spend more time in the fresh air, master one or more relaxation practices and do not neglect communication with loved ones and friends.
