Dr. Ali Al-Gharabli, an analyst at the Reproductive Health Program, said that the world’s population was estimated at 8 billion last November.

He added, during an intervention via Skype, to the “Matrouh for Discussion” program broadcast on the “Cairo News” satellite channel, with the media, Eman Al-Huwaizi, that two-thirds of the world’s population live in fertility places below the replacement level, explaining that 73 years is the global life expectancy, which is a subject that causes pleasure.

And he indicated that only 10% of the world’s population is responsible for greenhouse gas emissions, pointing to the accusation that marginalized and poor countries are responsible for that, describing that accusation as “incorrect.”

He defined the demographic opportunity as the Arab countries having the largest number of workers in the development sector and the least number of dependents.
