Suddenly something seemed to wake me up,
Niu Niu When I got home, I took Wang Bao to drink water. After taking a few sips, he suddenly seemed to be choking and kept frothing and frothing… I responded intuitively: “Stay with her and let her know that you are They are all here…”

Maybe it’s just a temporary discomfort, maybe it’s…?
I’m not a doctor, so I can’t judge, but if it were me, I would always stay with her, touch her, hug her… to give her a sense of security and comfort myself even though I feel sorry for Wang Bao’s discomfort. OK, that’s what I do.

Megaesophagus is a condition in which movement (movement, muscle contraction) of the esophagus is reduced or absent. The esophagus is the tube that carries food and water from the throat to the stomach. In the case of megaesophagus, it becomes difficult to move food completely into the stomach, and food may be regurgitated into the throat or aspirated into the lungs, causing aspiration pneumonia.Decreased esophageal motility often results in esophageal dilatation. This is usually due to an underlying neurological abnormality. The disease is characterized by esophageal hypomotility and dilatation, progressive reflux, and worsening of physical condition. Symptoms include difficulty swallowing, excessive salivation, cough, regurgitation, and weight loss.

Megaesophagus may be secondary to a variety of diseases. Obstructive diseases, muscular and neurological disorders, and certain toxins can cause macrorexia in dogs. Some of the more common reasons include:
Myasthenia gravis:It is the most common cause of canine megaesophagus and is the first disease to be ruled out. Myasthenia gravis is a disease in which the nerve/muscle junction is immunologically destroyed. The signals sent by the nervous system to coordinate the contraction of the esophageal muscles are simply not received by the muscles. Megaesophagus is one of its classic symptoms, although it is usually associated with general skeletal muscle weakness. This condition is treatable and usually resolves, but special testing is needed to confirm it. Approximately 25% of dogs with acquired megaesophagus have myasthenia gravis.
Adrenocortical insufficiency (Addison’s disease):Also associated with megaesophagus. This condition represents a lack of cortisone production by the adrenal glands, which alters the metabolism of the esophageal muscles.
Autonomic nervous system disorder: Animals with dysautonomia have a 60% incidence of megaesophagus and typically affect dogs living in rural areas. Due to the complete destruction of the entire autonomic nervous system, dysuria, mydriasis, colon laxity (megacolon), anal laxity, tear production and megaesophagus result. Treatment is unlikely to be successful, so it is helpful to recognize this range of signs from the outset so that euthanasia can be considered. Tests for autonomic dysfunction include stimulating the autonomic nervous system with drugs and checking for reactions (increased heart rate due to atropine injection, constriction of the pupils due to pilocarpine eye drops, etc.).
Some other causes include esophagitis, botulism and tetanus, lead poisoning, hypothyroidism, and esophageal cancer.

Symptoms of canine megaesophagus
The main symptom of megaesophagus is reflux. Reflux is the involuntary vomiting of food or water that occurs shortly following eating or drinking. And vomiting is an active process. Gagging, vomiting, and retching occur when the body actively expels stomach contents. Additionally, there is an associated feeling of nausea, and the act of vomiting may be preceded by drooling or lip licking.Common clinical symptoms of canine megaesophagus are: reflux/drooling/dysphagia/weakness/weight loss

One of my family members【Maxue】

One night eight years ago, I received a call from Amu, choking with sobs and saying, “Maxue is gone.”
I asked in confusion: “Why? What’s wrong?” At that time, I didn’t live at home, so I left Ma Xue and Michelle to the care of my family! ! In the last days, I didn’t know anything regarding what made Ma Xue uncomfortable…

Now, I am accompanying Michelle twice as much, and I am paying even more attention to the regret of not being with my brother Ma Xue. Michelle also works harder than her brother and lives longer than her brother. However, he cannot hear any sounds, is older, has no teeth, has muscle atrophy, and has an irregular heart beating. He is worried regarding discomfort and worry caused by too cold weather. Will Michelle have bleeding in her stools, blood in her urine, ischemia, anemia, dizziness…?

When Michelle woke up, she picked him up and walked around in the living room with non-slip mats. When he was tired, she hugged him and lay on her body, letting Michelle sleep peacefully. After a while, she gently put him down. In bed, let him continue to rest, day following day, day following day, day following day… Every day I think in my mind, “If one day you can’t sleep like this, then run happily!”(But I still don’t want to face the time when you can’t get up…)

–There is no regret medicine in life. When you regret not seeing him more, regret not spending more time with him, regret not taking a photo with him, regret not discovering his discomfort earlier…, what’s the use? ?

One of my family members【Michelle】

Recently, my colleague’s mother was suffering from headaches and was found to have a tumor compressing her brain. She underwent surgery for nearly four months and is now at home to recuperate. A colleague mentioned that my mother seemed to have changed. She treated her as if she were a child.

Reminds me of the time when my dad was in therapy. I used my【Cognition】When looking at everything, facing the person called “Dad” in front of you, he is your dad, and you should behave like your dad, the tone of your dad’s words, the things your dad likes, and the things he doesn’t like… But, It’s like a stab in the head has changed everything…

–Walking up and down the corridors of the hospital, the ward doors opened one following another! I asked, “Dad, what are you doing?” Dad said, “I’m going to my work table!”

——Seeing that there were more than 20 stitches on the scalp, but my father was sleeping and scratching as usual, I asked, “Doesn’t it hurt?” Dad said, “Yes, why doesn’t it hurt?”

——My father, who has been force-fed through a nasogastric tube, always says when my mother is going home to take a shower: “Bring me some scallion pancakes!” “Bring me some omelette rice!”

——The father who is recuperating at home is worried that no one will notice when his father calls for someone! So I bought a radio bell and glued the button to the handle next to the bed. One day, the bell kept ringing and ringing! My mother and I rushed into my father’s room at the same time and asked, “What’s wrong?” Dad said, “Oh, wow!”

More than two years have passed, and although it still hurts, at least I have no regrets, and I have good company…

Find fun in life!
Because she was worried that Michelle would develop megaesophagus, Michelle wanted to sleep lazily following eating! I asked Michelle to lie down on a pillow with a slight slope, hoping that the food would not stay in the esophagus! But while waiting, I suddenly wanted to go to the toilet!
He reached for another pillow and cushioned Michelle’s butt to prevent Michelle from sliding down! Rush to the toilet first and get a quick fix!
Unexpectedly, when I saw this scene following returning to the room, I still laughed → took a photo with my phone → and then picked up Michelle once more… XD.

All the “grinding” is to prevent me from regretting my life.
