Complex organ system: liver, gallbladder, pancreas – recognize, treat and prevent diseases

Description:

The liver, as the largest and most important detoxification organ, together with the gallbladder, the bile ducts and the pancreas, forms a connected organ system of functional importance for the digestive system and metabolism. In addition to a variety of functions, they have a major influence on the tolerability of foods and foods. The liver is responsible for the production of bile and proteins, detoxification of the body or the breakdown of unnecessary metabolic products and medicines, the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, the absorption of vital nutrients in the body. The gallbladder stores the bile it produces before it is released into the small intestine to help digest fats. The pancreas produces hormones to regulate blood sugar levels and the development of digestive secretions for the intestines. All three organs are close together in the upper abdomen. The first signs of a disorder or damage to the organs can be severe upper abdominal pain, circulatory problems, fatigue, muscle and joint pain and skin changes. The diagnoses can range from inflammation of the liver caused by various viruses (hepatitis A, B, C, D or E), the pancreas (pancreatitis) or the gallbladder and bile ducts to gallstones, fatty liver, liver cirrhosis or cancer.
