Description:

Symptoms long following corona infection

VHS lecture on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023 on Post/Long-Covid-Syndrome at the Cardiovascular Center

The long or post-Covid syndrome has arrived in our everyday life: those affected complain regarding persistent symptoms following an acute infection with the corona virus and despite negative rapid test results – sometimes for months. In his lecture on August 16, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the HKZ, Dr. Klaus Edel will present the status of diagnostic options and treatment options at the cardiovascular center.

The treatment options are still very limited, as Dr. Klaus Edel, Medical Director of the HKZ in Rotenburg, who has been dealing with the clinical picture since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. “Patience is the most important factor right now. In the outpatient clinic and rehab, we focus primarily on the individual stress level of the patient and try to find an optimal level here,” says Edel. To do this, he uses various biomarkers in diagnostics and measures the size of the red blood cells. “Studies in recent years now clearly show that an infection with the corona virus significantly changes the composition of the red blood cells. For some, long-term.”

In addition to diagnostics, for example with the so-called modified stair test or spiroergometry, Edel also goes into bioresonance therapy in his lecture, which has achieved very good results in studies to date. It is not necessary to register to participate in the lecture. Questions during and following the lecture are welcome.
