Manchester United defender Leny Yoro has successfully undergone surgery on a foot injury and will be out of action for the Premier League club for the next three months.
In a written statement on the Manchester United website, Yoro was confirmed to be absent for three months to undergo post-surgery recovery.
“We expect Yoro to be fit again in around three months,” the Red Devils said on their official website.
The 18-year-old defender, who was recently brought in from Lille, suffered an injury during a pre-season match against Arsenal in Los Angeles, United States (US), on July 28, 2024.
Yoro suffered a fractured metatarsal which restricted him to just 35 minutes of action before being taken off by coach Erik ten Hag.
The operation was carried out to improve his condition and currently Yoro is entering the rehabilitation stage.

Yoro’s presence is actually expected to add to MU’s back line options, along with Lisandro Martinez, Harry Maguire, and Jonny Evans.
Manchester United will soon play Manchester City in the Community Shield on August 10. Six days later, the Red Devils are scheduled to face Fulham in their first Premier League match.
In addition to Yoro, Rasmus Hojlund was also injured in Manchester United’s match against Arsenal, but his condition was not as serious as the new defender. (Ant/Z-1)
