An undercover police managed to find the man known as “Guillermo.”
A dangerous criminal who operated in the center of Bogotá was captured by the authorities after being investigated by a Metropolitan Police agent, who followed the feared criminal for eight months.
In a thoughtful plan, the infiltrated police managed to gain the trust of the head of the Aragua Train in Chorro de Quevedo and discovered all his criminal actions in the sale of drugs in that renowned tourist and university sector.
Noticias Caracol learned that the woman fell in love with alias Guillermo after pretending to be a university student who frequented the sector.
Apparently, the criminal offered her the traditional drink “chicha” on several occasions, but when he saw that the woman did not show interest, he offered her narcotic substances.
“When he sees me, he greets me, offers me chicha and, after interacting with him for a while and seeing that I am not interested, he offers me bars, narcotic substances. Alias Guillermo accompanied me to the entrance of the university, I went up the stairs, waited for him to leave and left. “He was waiting for me at the university exit,” said the police officer.
The man, of Venezuelan nationality, had been part of the organization for eight years and a few months ago he had taken control of the drugs in the center of Bogotá.
Testimonies given by the infiltrated police show that the dangerous criminal ordered torture and homicides of those who also carried out the micro-trafficking business in that area of the capital.
In fact, it is said that the victims were taken to a torture house in the Las Cruces neighborhood, where the crimes were committed.
«He threatened them and told them that he was going to dismember them if they continued working there. The person who arrived without his knowledge would torture them. They took them to Las Cruces and tortured them there,” the woman told Noticias Caracol.
The uniformed officer also assured that several merchants in the area served the criminal network, because they lent their premises so that alias Guillermo could hide the drugs he sold.
These statements were recorded on security video cameras that were recorded by the undercover agent, who provided other evidence so that the authorities could proceed with the capture of the criminal a few days ago.
The uniformed officer indicated that the man announced that he was going to travel to the United States, but first he invited her to eat ice cream; moment that was taken advantage of by other agents of the Metropolitan of Bogotá to proceed with the capture of the criminal.
General Sandra Hernández, commander of the Bogotá Police, assured that four other people were captured in the operation against one of the factions of the Aragua Train in the capital.
«Here we managed to capture five men by court order. “It was a meeting place for young people, where they took advantage of the opportunity to traffic drugs, leaving a monthly income of approximately 50 million pesos,” the officer concluded.
The capital’s authorities will reinforce security and controls in the area to prevent crime from taking over the emblematic Chorro de Quevedo square again.
