At the premiere of Bombasticnew podcast by Cecilia Gutiérrez, the renowned entertainment journalist spoke with her colleague Laura Landaeta, author of the book Caso Relojes.

In June 2020, Tonka Tomicic reported that her WhatsApp number had been hacked. “Urgent. To all my contacts, my WhatsApp was hacked, please block my contact,” the entertainer wrote on her social networks.
Given the concern of her followers and those close to her, the communicator decided to file a complaint with the Cybercrime Brigade of the Investigative Police (PDI), which arrived at the Canal 13 facilities to carry out the required tests on her phone.

In the middle of the interview, Laura Landaeta stated that those involved in the Relojes Case “had contacts in the PDI. She remembers that they discharged (some officials)… they, for a bribe that to this day is not known how much, handed over sensitive information.

It was in this context that Cecilia Gutiérrez brought up a memory of her time at Bienvenidos: “Months following this, just when these wiretaps became known, Tonka Tomicic publicly said that her WhatsApp was hacked. I don’t know if you remember that she changed her number.”
Laura Landaeta: I didn’t remember that, I just remembered now that you said it.
Cecilia Gutiérrez: I was leaving Bienvenidos at that time, so I remember that she put up a story (on Instagram) or something like that, saying that her WhatsApp had been hacked.
