The latest research, conducted for 4 years by archaeologists, has uncovered 8 new menhirs on the megalithic site. They were brought by man more than 3000 years ago.
A site with an almost unique character in the world
The site already had 2 dolmens and regarding thirty menhirs but these new discoveries make it an exceptional site, namely that the menhirs are perfectly aligned.
“Here we have a group of stones and then an interruption for a few tens of meters, explain Christian Frébutte, archaeologist in charge of the excavation site. Then, we discovered another group of stones which are placed and registered in the same alignment”.
For archaeologists it is an honor to work on this once-in-a-lifetime site.
