You may have heard of various smuggling tactics. However, this will be the first of its kind. Many of us are afraid of snakes. That’s when a young woman was caught trying to smuggle five live snakes inside her clothes. A woman from China’s Guangdong province tried to smuggle five snakes inside her top. The woman hid snakes of a species known as corn snakes inside her clothes.
The incident took place at Shenzhen’s Futian port. A female passenger with an unusual body shape came to the attention of the customs officials during routine checks. Then, during a thorough body check conducted by the suspicious officers, snakes were found inside the top the woman was wearing. The snakes were safely wrapped in stockings and hidden in the chest.
Known as Pantherophis guttatus, these snakes are commonly known as red rat snakes and corn snakes. These are non-venomous snakes found mainly in America. These snakes are notorious for their ability to strangle and subdue their prey. Therefore, these snakes are known as the best hunters among snakes.
Customs officials took action once morest the woman and handed over the snakes seized from her to the concerned authorities. The identity of the woman has not been released. Reports say that they will have to face legal consequences for the smuggling attempt.
