On the 10th, Jung Seung-won’s fan, Mr. A, revealed the contents of a DM (direct message) he shared with Jung Seung-won, saying, “Those who want to take a picture, take it with permission.”

In the meantime, Seungwon Jeong recently used a photo taken by Mr. A in a promotional post for Bubble (paid messenger app) without permission, and Mr. A said, “I have never allowed Bubble to use this photo. I hope that all postings with images will be taken down by the end of this week.”

Afterwards, Jung Seung-won, who understood the controversy through an agency, contacted Mr. A and asked, “I have a question, can I use my photo?”

In response, Mr. A countered, “I took my own photos with my own money, my time, and my equipment, so is it correct to bring them and use them like that?” Jung Seung-won said, “Then, do you have the right to take my own portrait? Give me my face. Did you take it with permission?” he replied, “I have the right to use my photo because it is my face with my face in it. That is the right of portrait. If you want to claim the right to take a photo, you have to take my photo with my permission in advance.”

Person A said, “I know that it is okay to take pictures of the players during the game. And the player knew that I took a picture and posted it on Instagram, and he said, ‘Thank you for taking a picture for me,’ so I considered it as permission.” I will take it all down, and I won’t take any pictures in the future. (But) I have copyright on the photos I used for Bubble, so please take them down. I never gave permission. Please do not use them for commercial purposes.”

Jung Seung-won then said, “In order to discuss copyright, you must have obtained prior permission and have taken a photo.

Netizens who heard the rumors commented, “I wish I had just said sorry, but the reaction was…”, “It’s not that I shouldn’t use it, it’s that commercial use is unpleasant”, “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with what the player said”, “I lost my steamed fan”, ” Portrait rights would not be recognized.”
