The most popular pets in the home, that is, cats and dogs, constantly need to receive veterinary medical attention, therefore the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) has a way to get it for free.

This is an event that will take place in Ciudad Universitaria, where the Veterinary Medicine Day will be held. The UNAM Faculty of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine (FMV) will provide basic medical guidance as part of the event.

Thanks to the free day, people will have the opportunity to sterilize their dogs or cats, only if they need it. Among other services they will have are rabies vaccines or deworming.

In case the household pet does not need any of the services offered, the headquarters will also have a dog training track. The event will take place at the Central Campus of Ciudad Universitaria, also known as “The Islands”, next Saturday, September 23, the start time will be from 10:00 a.m. and will end at 4:00 p.m.

In CDMX there are several free places to care for pets

Spaying a dog is a routine operation in which the dog’s reproductive organs are removed. In the case of males, the testicles are removed, while in females, in addition to the ovaries, the uterus can also be removed.

These types of operations can prevent health problems for pets. There are several advantages to sterilization, including reduced risk of disease and improved behavior, however, the benefits of this procedure vary depending on gender.

Sterilization involves the removal of a cat’s sexual reproductive organs. In the case of females, it involves removing the ovaries and uterus, although sometimes only the ovaries are removed. This is usually done through a small excision on your left side, and can also be done underneath, lengthwise.

While in the case of males, the procedure consists of removing their testicles. The procedure is simpler in males and does not require any stitches.
