The stores of the French Carrefour group announce that they will remove Pepsico group products from their shelves. The brands Lay’s, Doritos, Pepsi, Lipton, Quaker will no longer be sold, due to “unacceptable price increases”.

In a context of commercial negotiations, where the manufacturer is demanding price increases on the market, the large retailer Carrefour is putting pressure on to obtain price reductions, according to information from BFMTV. The distributor says it is “committed to lowering prices”.

From January 4, posters will be posted in stores to inform customers of this change. All Pepsico group brands will be withdrawn, such as Pepsi, Lipton, 7 Up, Lay’s chips, Doritos, Bénénuts, Quaker, etc.

“We no longer sell this brand due to unacceptable price increases. Please excuse us for the inconvenience caused,” we can read in a publication published by a specialist in mass distribution, Olivier Dauvers.
