When a manga gets as long as it has Komi-san wa, Komyushou Desu (Komi Can’t Communicate), sometimes fans start to feel monotonous within the story. While the current arc is quite interesting following the return of Tadano’s first love that threatens the stability of his relationship with Komi, a series of modified pages from a previous chapter hit Twitter by surprise and immediately trended.
It was the Twitter user “@CondorPana” who shared three altered pages of chapters 227 and 228. In the original story, it is these two chapters where both Shouko Komi as Rumiko Manbagi admit they are in love with Hitohito Tadanohowever, they put their friendship above and promise that, even if one of the two manages to stay with him, there will be no grudges.
However, the edits that were made to the scene completely change the mood of the story. «I’m sorry Manbagi-san, if you never fell in love with Tadano-kun, you would have been my friend forever. You feel cold? Don’t worry, it will stop hurting soon. I’ll take care of Tadano-kun, you just rest. Your blood is very bright, Manbagi-san.», mentions a yandere version of Komi-san following stabbing Manbagi to “get rid of the competition“.
Of course, this is not what happens in the original story, but it is always very interesting to see the story from another perspective, and even the effort that was made to modify Komi-san’s face and adjust it to an expression of madness. Is it an original face or maybe they took it from some other known panel? Anyway, of course there was a wide variety of reactions, highlighting:

Sinopsis de Komi-san wa, Komyushou desu
It’s Shouko Komi’s first day at the prestigious Itan Private Institute, and she’s already become the Madonna of the school. With her long black hair and her tall and elegant appearance, she captures the attention of anyone who crosses her path. However, there is a problem: despite her popularity, Shouko is terrible at communicating with others. Hitohito Tadano is your typical high school boy. With his life motto of “reading the situation and making sure to stay out of trouble”, he quickly discovers that sitting next to Shouko has made him the enemy of everyone in his class.
One day, accidentally passed out, Hitohito wakes up to the sound of Shouko’s “meow”. He lies saying that he didn’t hear anything, which makes Shouko run off. But before she can escape, Hitohito guesses that Shouko isn’t able to talk to others easily; in fact, he has never been able to make a single friend. Hitohito decides to help Shouko in her goal of making a hundred friends so that she can overcome her communication disorder.
