“Yes, that is a great reason to be happy,” said Climate Protection Minister Leonore Gewessler (Greens) on Saturday in the “Journal as Guest” on Ö1 at the outcome of the UN World Climate Conference in Dubai. The states there have once more agreed on a goal – namely to become CO2 neutral by the middle of the century. However, this time once more they are not legally bound to it. And all the projects that have been decided so far, such as the 1.5 degree target in Paris, are completely out of reach.
