UN-DH regrets the death of Rosario Ibarra de Piedra; her fight remains in force in Mexico When lamenting “deeply” the death of Rosario Ibarra de Piedra, the Office in Mexico of the UN High Commissioner for the Human rights stated that his fight continues in today’s Mexico, where there are nearly 100 thousand missing people.
Through its social networks, the organization of the United Nations Organization affirmed that Ibarra de Piedra was a “woman who opened causes in Mexico in favor of freedom and Human Rights, the inclusion of women, democratization and demand to eradicate forced disappearance and other abuses of power”.
Therefore, he considered that his legacy “will always endure in the minds of those who demand justice, truth and the appearance of their loved ones alive.”
