Somali authorities announced today, Saturday, that at least 32 people were killed and 63 others were injured in a “terrorist attack” attributed to the “Al-Shabaab” movement on Lido Beach in the Somali capital, Mogadishu.
Somali police confirmed that “security forces were able to neutralize five terrorists from the Al-Shabaab movement who attacked Lido Beach on Friday evening. There were six terrorists but one of them blew himself up at the beginning of the attack. Security forces evacuated many civilians trapped in the area.”
