Umrah pilgrims flock to Saudi during Ramadan after eased visa

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that applications for visas will only be accepted until Monday. The new Umrah season will start following the Hajj. The current Hajj season, which ends today, will end with the return of Umrah. After that, the authorities will be busy preparing facilities for the Hajj.

Authorities had earlier warned people to beware of fake websites for Hajj permits. Only those above 65 years of age will be allowed to perform Hajj this time.

There was no such condition before the Kovid expansion. Hajj pilgrims, meanwhile, must be vaccinated with the Kovid vaccine, which is approved by the Saudi Ministry of Health. PCR test results taken 72 hours prior to arrival in Saudi Arabia are also mandatory.
