The Hajj Umrah Ministry has informed that pilgrims who have tickets other than Jeddah and Madinah airports are not able to travel.
But according to this, the reason for the travel crisis is that the airline companies did not receive notification from the General Authority of Civil Aviation. This year’s Umrah season has started with many highlights compared to previous years. The announcement of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah was very important in that, allowing the pilgrims to come and go back to Saudi Arabia through any airport in the country.
In previous years, Umrah pilgrims were only allowed to travel through Jeddah and Madinah airports. The special feature of the new Umrah season is that Umrah visa holders are allowed to stay and travel anywhere in the country for up to three months. But in recent days, several people have complained that airlines have not allowed pilgrims who have tickets to airports like Riyadh and Dammam to travel.
They were able to continue their journey following changing their tickets to Jeddah and Madinah airports. The reason for the travel crisis is that the Civil Aviation Authority has not notified airlines accordingly, although the Ministry of Hajj Umrah has announced that they can travel to any airports. The airlines have stated that they will implement the new change as soon as they receive the notification from the Civil Aviation Authority.
