YouTube TV has expanded the multi-view feature so that even sports fans can enjoy it. When the multi-view service was launched, up to four sports streams might be shown on screen simultaneously, but now users can choose between streams. It contains news, business news, and weather content, as well as sports streams. Viewers still have to choose among preset videos and can’t choose which show they want to watch with multiple views, but at least they now have more options and don’t have to set all four screens to sporting events. According to Engadget, the service introduced its multi-sports-focused show in March, just in time for the NCAA March Madness. Multiview is supported on all Smart TVs and media players that can play YouTube TV, as processing takes place on the service’s servers. While viewers can monitor all four streams simultaneously, they can switch to a full screen view of each and change the audio and subtitles. Focus on what they want to do now. In addition to expanding its slate of multiple shows, YouTube TV is also adding Spanish-language sports channels to the pre-selected streaming options for members with a Spanish or Spanish Plus plan. Some members may not yet have access to the expanded multi-view options. But it’s coming soon — YouTube TV says it will gradually roll out these updates to all users over the summer.
