Jeddah: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has stated that the arrival of Umrah pilgrims from foreign countries has started with the start of the new Umrah season. It has started receiving Umrah pilgrims arriving through air, land and sea gateways in the country. The arrival of pilgrims has started amid extensive preparations to receive Umrah pilgrims with the participation of the concerned departments. The Ministry also stated that the Ministry is emphasizing on necessary mechanisms to provide better services to pilgrims and enable maximum number of people to perform Umrah.
For those outside the country, the ‘Nusuk’ app (https://www.nusuk.sa) can get an online visa through this app. Permission to perform Umrah and visit Masjid Dunna Bavi can also be obtained from this app. This is a unique app to facilitate the process of reaching Makkah and Madinah for all Muslims from different parts of the world. Accommodation and transportation facilities can be selected through it.
It also has a package of useful information and interactive maps in various languages. It is structured in such a way that it can be selected as and when required in simple steps. The Ministry said that this is the continuation of the efforts made to achieve the goals of ‘Vision 2030’ and to improve the quality of services provided to the pilgrims.
