How to get ChocobosRecently released, Final Fantasy 16 The Rising Tide is a story expansion for Final Fantasy 16. Unlike the first Echoes of the Fallen DLC, this expansion adds a whole new area of Mysidia to explore.
But as you explore, you may discover that you can’t ride your trusty Ambrosia Chocobo! But don’t worry, you will be able to get the Chocobo in Mysidia, but you will have to complete a few quests before you can do so. Here’s what you should do…

How to get Chocobos
In order to obtain the Chocobo in Mysidia, you will need to complete the side quest “Bird of Passage”. You will start this side quest by going to Manda, the girl who takes care of the chocobo stables in Haven Village. Which will in turn send you to speak to his father who is in a nearby store.

Next, you will need to go to Martha’s Rest House. Talk to Rowan who is standing near the obelisk. Talk to him and he will give you “Mimett Gourd”, which is the Chocobo’s favorite candy.
Now go to Northreach and exit the town to the west. Return to the campsite you explored earlier to begin the Rising Tide story. You will find Manda’s father there. Give him the Mimett Gourd and he will take Ambrosia on his boat to Mysidia.
And there you have a chocobo! You can now wander around Msidia as you wish! Final Fantasy 16 can be played on PS5. Rising Tide is available now and can be purchased for $20 a la carte or as part of the $25 FF16 Expansion Pass.
