**Richie Murphy:** [Citation: [[1](https://www.bbc.com/sport/rugby-union/articles/c786l9xdqx8o)]

thanks. It was a truly amazing performance from the lads, especially considering the bumps in the road we experienced throughout the week. Key player Mike Lowry was uncertain even to play due to injury, yet he stepped up and delivered an outstanding display.

And to make things even more tough, we lost Rob Herring during the warm-up. This forced James McCormick onto the bench and into the game within minutes. It’s a testament to the strength and depth we’re building within the squad that someone like James can step in under such pressure and perform so well.

**Archyde:** That certainly speaks volumes about the team spirit and versatility within Ulster. Did these challenges impact your game plan or preparations significantly?

**Richie Murphy:** It definitely required some on-the-fly adjustments, particularly with Rob’s unfortunate injury. But I have to credit the players and coaching staff for remaining calm and focused. We have a strong culture of adaptability and trust, which allowed us to navigate these hurdles. Ultimately, our game plan remained largely intact, but we had to make some minor tweaks based on the players available.

**Archyde:** What stood out to you most about your team’s performance despite these setbacks?

**Richie Murphy:** To be honest, I thoght the lads were incredible. They showed tremendous determination and mental toughness. They could have easily faltered after the setbacks we faced, but instead, they came together, supported each other, and delivered a commanding performance. It’s truly inspiring to see that kind of commitment and resilience.
