Ukrainians showed a new unusual weapon | Business

Recently, an intriguing video surfaced online showing how fighters of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade Kurt & Company use an unusual and interesting weapon on the battlefield – a robotic dog. ArmyTV spoke with the unit’s commander, Ensign Kurt, who provided some details about this area of operation.

“The main idea is to save the lives of soldiers. We considered many options and for now we settled on a robotic dog because my priority as a unit commander is to keep my personnel safe,” Kurt said of the new weapon.

The main requirements for such a system are as follows: the “dog” must be able to support the heaviest weight possible, provide a clear view of the cameras and allow the operator to remain in a safe place – for example, in a basement or in a place where the enemy cannot target the soldier while the system is operating.

However, it cannot be immediately deployed in combat – in total, this idea has been developed and developed for about a year. It is currently 70 percent ready: “Currently, some details are being fine-tuned and improved, and the robot will be used as a multi-purpose weapon for various tasks.”

It is noted that such a robot dog can be used for various missions: surveillance, infantry support, evacuation of the wounded, delivery of ammunition and as a kamikaze.

“He is a very effective observer and engineer. It works like a real dog, but as an electronic device – all its capabilities can be used for military purposes. I won’t reveal other details yet, because we want to achieve results and surprise the enemy,” said Kurt.

“There are plans to deploy an army of such dogs to cover the gaps that we currently cannot eliminate in certain areas,” noted the unit commander. “Right now, the unit is waiting for the entire batch of these robot dogs.”
