The fighting in Ukraine continued with undiminished severity over the Orthodox Easter weekend. The general staff in Kiev reported 60 enemy attacks within 24 hours on Sunday morning, especially in Donbass. At least 12 people were killed when a residential building in the city of Sloviansk was shelled. In nearby Bakhmut, a spokesman for the eastern military command reported “the bloodiest fighting in decades”.
