CNN reported on the 7th that the Ukrainian National Police said on Sunday local time that a SWAT team destroyed two Russian tanks in a small village northeast of Kyiv.
Members of the Ukrainian National Police’s special forces released on Sunday can see members of the Rapid Action Response Team ambushing a Russian tank with an RPG rocket-propelled grenade. But CNN has not confirmed that the film was shot that day.
The Ukrainian Telegram channel All-Seeing Eye posted a longer video showing the SWAT team destroying the tank, in which police officers can be seen crouching on a dirt road outside the Ukrainian village of Zavorich. CNN also confirmed the authenticity of the film.
In the film, a police officer is seen walking down a dirt road behind two other officers armed with RPGs. The police officers armed with RPGs then signaled and opened fire. When the two officers were reloading, shelling might be heard, but it was not certain whether it was a Russian tank counterattack.
After reloading, the officer ran back and opened fire once more. Two tanks can be seen in the distance, one already on fire.
A police officer shouted: “Well done! Glory to Ukraine!”
