Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky attended the funeral of Interior Ministry officials who died in a helicopter crash on the 21st.
The helicopter carrying Ukraine’s Interior Minister Nis Monastirsky, Deputy Minister and five other senior Interior Ministry officials crashed on the morning of the 18th near a kindergarten in a residential complex on the northeastern outskirts of Ukraine’s capital Kyiv.
Seven other people, including one child, were also killed in the accident. Officials are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
The helicopter crash came amid a recent attack on an apartment building in Dnipro, killing at least 45 people.

President Zelensky said in a telegram on the 21st, “Indescribable sadness covers the soul,” and “Ukraine is losing wonderful sons and daughters every day.”
President Zelensky and his wife comforted the bereaved families at the funeral held at the Ukrainian House Cultural Center in the capital city of Kiev on the 21st.
The head of military intelligence, Kirilo Budanov, described the death of Monastirsky as a huge loss.
“He is a true hero of the country,” he said.
A police spokesperson said the minister and his party were moving to a location near power lines at the time of the accident. 19 was explained.
