As the Russian-Ukraine war continued for five months, President Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife conducted a photo shoot and interview with the fashion magazine ‘Vogue’.

Vogue published a pictorial article titled ‘Portrait Of Bravery: Ukraine’s First Lady, Olena Zelenska’ on the 26th (local time).

Photographer Annie Leibovitz captured the image of President Zelensky and his wife with the camera once morest the backdrop of the Russo-Ukraine war. The article published along with the pictorial contains interviews with President Zelensky, inside and outside the country, talking regarding the current situation in Ukraine following the invasion of Russia.

“It was the most terrible few months of my life and the lives of all Ukrainians,” Zelenska said. “It’s this mindset that keeps us moving forward,” she said. “While the war is in transition and interest in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is waning, inflation and gasoline prices are rising worldwide. President Zelensky said, “It may not be a diplomatic answer, but I will be honest.” “The increase in gasoline prices is nothing. COVID-19 is nothing compared to what is happening in Ukraine right now.”

“Imagine what’s happening in Ukraine, what’s happening in your country,” he said. In addition, President Zelensky reiterated the need for significant assistance in Ukraine, saying, “We are fighting for something that can happen in any country in the world.”

Zelensky said he was proud of his wife, saying, “I was originally strong, but through this war he probably found out that she was a stronger person than I thought.”

“My wife is a great mother and a person with a sense of responsibility as the first lady. “She’s probably the one I love Ukraine more than anyone,” she said. “She’s also the person I love and my best friend.”

When their pictorials and interview articles were posted on Vogue’s Instagram, a lot of people posted ‘likes’ and comments wishing for Ukraine’s victory. Ukrainians wrote, “Thank you to Vogue for telling us regarding the situation of our country,” and “We support our president and his wife.”

On the other hand, some say, “It’s embarrassing to have a photo shoot in an area where war is taking place” and “The Ukrainian people must be dying even at the moment of taking this picture.”
