According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyj, Ukrainian pilots have already started training on Swedish Gripen fighter jets. A possible delivery of such aircraft to Ukraine will also be a central part of his talks with other Swedish politicians, said Zelenskyj at his meeting with Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.
In June, Sweden invited Ukrainian pilots to test flights on Saab jets, but at the same time declared that it needed all of its own aircraft of this model.
Selenskyj traveled to Sweden with his wife Olena Selenska. In addition to talks with Kristersson, meetings with the royal family and members of parliament are also planned, Zelenskyy wrote today on Twitter (X).
