[キーウ 6日 ロイター] – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced in his regular speech on the evening of the 6th that the Ukrainian military shot down five Russian cruise missiles in the morning of the same day. However, he did not mention operational progress in the east, which officials had previously suggested.

Zelensky said Ukrainian forces shot down five of six Russian X-101 missiles, four of them in the south.

Earlier, social media posts reported on the fighting in and around Balakria, between Kharkiv in the east and Russian-controlled Izhum. Izyum is considered to be a key railway hub that Russia uses to replenish its forces.

An adviser to the Ukrainian president also tweeted that he would have “great news” from the president regarding the operation in Kharkov province.

Archyde.com has not been able to independently confirm these facts, and Russia has not responded.

On the other hand, little information has come out regarding the results of the Ukrainian army in the southern province of Kherson, as the Ukrainian government does not allow journalists to enter the front lines and restricts military publications.
