The wife of Kyril Budanov, head of Ukraine’s military intelligence service, recently returned home following being hospitalized late last month for suspected poisoning. According to a representative of the intelligence services quoted by the newspaper Ukrainska Pravda, Marianna Boudanova’s condition has greatly improved, but her convalescence will still take time.

According to Andriy Yusov, spokesperson for the Ukrainian intelligence services, Mariana Boudanova’s treatment is “still ongoing” even though she has been able to leave the hospital. “Fortunately, she was treated quickly, avoiding more serious complications.”
Several of Kyril Boudanov’s colleagues also showed symptoms of poisoning and are currently on the mend.
Analyzes reveal the presence of heavy metals, notably arsenic and mercury, in their bodies, suggesting possible food contamination.
Military intelligence has taken steps to shed light on this matter, although the exact nature of these actions is not specified. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the poisoning.
