A deal has been reached to export Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea.

It is expected to help alleviate the global food shortage as the grain export route, which was blocked following the Russian invasion, is reopened.

A four-party delegation from Ukraine, Russia, the United Nations and Turkey signed today the UN’s proposed negotiations on grain exports through the Black Sea.

Ships loaded with Ukrainian grain can enter and depart from three ports, including Odessaan in the south, and Russia has decided not to attack ships.

To ensure smooth operation and safety, a coordination center with representatives from each country will be installed in Istanbul, Turkey.

This will help alleviate the food crisis that has worsened in Africa and the developing world in the Middle East since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The United Nations welcomed it as “an unprecedented agreement between two countries at war”.

It will be of great help to developing countries and people at risk from food famine.

The question will depend on whether this agreement is properly implemented.

The Ukrainian government has warned that it will face military action if Russia violates the agreement and invades Ukrainian ports.

“The United States welcomes the agreement in principle. We will see if Russia is responsible for implementing this agreement.”

Ukraine is a major exporter of grains such as wheat, barley and maize.

It is known that 20 million tons of grain were blocked due to the Russian invasion blocking the route to the Black Sea.
