A nighttime attack by Ukrainian drones on Moscow damaged two office buildings, the mayor of the Russian capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said on Sunday. The event happened at dawn.
“Ukrainian drones attacked tonight. The facades of two city office towers were slightly damaged. There are no victims or injuries,” the city’s highest authority published on Telegram.

Ukrainian drones hit two buildings in Moscow
The mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, reported in the early hours of this Sunday through his Telegram account that drones of Ukrainian origin impacted two buildings in the Russian capital.

According to Sobyanin, the buildings attacked correspond to office blocks and so far no injuries or deaths have been reported following the attack. “Ukrainian drones attacked us tonight. The facades of two office towers in the city were slightly damaged. There are no victims or injuries,” said the highest Moscow authority on the social network.
The RT channel broadcast images and videos showing the damage caused by the explosions at both facilities. On the other hand, it was reported that the authorities preventively ordered the closure of the Vnukovo airport for aircraft landing and takeoff operations.
Moscow Vnukovo Airport closes and redirects its flights
The Vnukovo international airport, which serves Moscow, was closed to air traffic early Sunday, Russian state news agency TASS reported, following the city’s mayor reported a drone attack on the capital.

“The capital Vnukovo airport is closed for departures and arrivals, flights are redirected to other cities,” TASS reported. “This was reported by aviation services.”
