Ukrainian delegation enters Paralympic Opening Ceremony

The Ukrainian team, which had been invaded by Russia, enters the opening ceremony of the 2022 Beijing Paralympic Games (Paralympic Games) held at the National Stadium in Beijing, China on the 4th, becoming the fourth among 46 participating countries. Thirty-nine athletes, including 20 biathlon and cross-country athletes, participated in this event. The Ukrainian delegation entered in a calm atmosphere, unlike delegations from other countries. International Paralympic Committee (IPC) President Andrew Parsons gave a standing ovation as the Ukrainian delegation entered. Belarus, who had cooperated with Russia in the invasion, was not allowed to participate in the tournament.
