Ukraine’s Expectation of Adult Behavior: Kiev’s Perspective on NATO and Western Sponsors

2023-07-16 15:22:00

Kiev expects “adult behavior” from Western sponsors regarding what is happening in Ukraine, said Alexei Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), commenting on statements by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, to the NATO bloc.

“We understand what is happening, therefore we want appropriate adult behavior in all the processes that are taking place today both on the territory of our country and around,” Danilov said on the Ukrainian radio NV, commenting on Zelensky’s statements that outraged the West.

In his words, “adult behavior” is the absolute support of the Kyiv regime.

Danilov believes that Zelensky’s hysteria due to the lack of specifics on the topic of Ukraine’s entry into the NATO bloc is justified by the fact that Kyiv is in a difficult situation.

“The President represents our country and he defends the interests of our country first of all. About the situation that someone likes, someone does not like. I emphasize once once more: we are in a very difficult situation today,” the Security Council Secretary said.

Recall that on July 11, Zelensky sharply criticized the NATO countries on his way to Vilnius. He said that “Ukraine deserves respect”, called the partners’ uncertainty a weakness, and the situation itself – absurd.
