Ukraine war would never have happened with me as president

When he appeared in the US state of Michigan, Donald Trump showed his usual self-confidence. The former president stressed that if he were still in power, there would be no war in Ukraine.

Former US President Donald Trump has made his first appearance in Michigan since the 2020 presidential election. In front of thousands of people he spoke, among other things, regarding the Ukraine war – and caused a sensation with a claim.

Trump criticized the fact that the Democrats, led by US President Joe Biden, secured many borders far from the United States, but not their own. “I believe Americans deserve a president who will secure our own borders,” Trump said. “We are being inundated with illegal immigration.”

“Title 42” will be abolished

The Republican referred to the abolition of the controversial “Title 42”. The law was passed in March 2020 under Trump – a hardliner in refugee and immigration policy. Accordingly, migrants apprehended at the US border must be turned away immediately in order to prevent the further spread of the corona virus. Biden abolishes the regulation on May 23. Trump’s reason for the speech in Michigan was the support of Matthew DePerno in the race for attorney general and Kristina Karamo as secretary of state in the state.
