Ukraine – The World Bank ready to disburse “quickly” 309 million dollars to Ukraine

The World Bank said on Saturday that it was ready to disburse up to $350 million (regarding 309 million euros) to Ukraine “rapidly” as soon as its board of directors approves it, before the end of March.

World Bank President David Malpass met on Saturday in Munich, Germany, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, to whom he expressed the Bank’s support for the Ukrainian people and its willingness to meet the needs of their economy. “short and long term”.

After this disbursement of 309 million, “there will be other budgetary support and additional reforms, particularly in the energy and climate sectors”, explains the official note of the World Bank.

Mr. Malpass and Mr. Zelenski also discussed “strong plans for (World Bank) projects in Ukraine, including energy efficiency, infrastructure, railways and strengthening the economy and job opportunities in Eastern Ukraine”.
