Several Western countries, including Britain and the United States, have asked Interpol to suspend Russia from the international police organization, British Home Secretary Priti Patel said.
The UK, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand have called for “the immediate suspension of Russia’s access to their systems,” Patel tweeted.
The countries asked Interpol’s executive committee to make a decision this week.
“Russia’s actions are a direct threat to the security of individuals and international police cooperation,” Patel added.
