Ukraine–Russia War; More than 100 Russian soldiers killed – Ukraine War

Kyiv ∙ The Ukrainian army has announced that it has destroyed 2 Russian military depots in the Kherson region of southern Ukraine, killing more than 100 people. 7 tanks were destroyed. The bridge over the Dnipro River on the railroad that was bringing supplies from occupied Crimea to the Russian forces in Kherson was destroyed and the Russian forces were isolated.

The damage was done to the Russian forces by using long-range missiles provided by the West. It is said to be the biggest loss of life in the Ukraine-Russia conflict, which is now in its sixth month.

Richard Moore of Britain’s Military Intelligence Agency said that Russia, which had lost tens of thousands of soldiers, was on the defensive. He said that the Russian forces might not continue the momentum of the first phase of the invasion and were on the path of destruction. All the houses in some of the villages where the army has been moved have been destroyed. Russia has intensified its night attacks in many Ukrainian cities.

Prison attack: The blame game continues

Both sides continue to blame each other for a missile attack on a prison in eastern Donetsk that killed 50 prisoners of war. The Russian army released the list of those killed. They reported that pro-Russian Ukrainian rebels were killed and 73 injured in the US-made Himars rocket attack. Russia has also started an investigation into the incident. Ukraine denies this and accuses Russia of executing prisoners of war. The Red Cross has asked to be allowed to visit prisoners of war in prisons in Ukraine.
