For the sixth day in a row, Russia is fighting Ukrainian forces that entered the Kursk region on Tuesday, prompting a mass exodus of Russians from border towns. According to official data, at least 76,000 people have left towns near the border with Ukraine in recent days, and today authorities in another border region, Belgorod, also announced that people were fleeing from some towns adjacent to neighboring Kursk over fears of intensifying Ukrainian attacks. According to Russian sources, a Ukrainian T-72 tank and two Kozak armored personnel carriers were destroyed and several Kiev soldiers were killed in the Sudzha district.
