Growing fears of a further and dramatic expansion of the war that is bringing Europe to its knees. Russia is carrying out a massive combined attack against Ukraine. During the night, the Moscow Armed Forces launched Shahed drones, while in the morning a missile attack began. In Kiev as in several other cities, strong explosions were heard and local authorities urged citizens to stay in underground shelters. In the capital, there is a lack of electricity supply in some neighborhoods, a presumable effect of the heavy bombing currently underway.

Meanwhile, in neighboring Poland, military aircraft were scrambled to monitor the missile attack and intervene if the aircraft were to come dangerously close to the border. “In the south-east of the country, an increase in noise levels is possible due to Polish and allied aircraft flying in our airspace,” the Polish Armed Forces Operational Command said in a message on X. Since the early hours of the morning, the Ukrainian Air Force had announced the take-off of eleven Russian Tu-95MS strategic bombers, a development that heralded a large-scale missile attack, which actually occurred.
