Ukraine is studying the list of Ukrainian soldiers published by Moskalkova, whom Kyiv refused to exchange

The Coordinating Headquarters of Ukraine stated that it was studying a list of 70 Ukrainian soldiers, whom, according to the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Russian Federation Tatyana Moskalkova, Kyiv refused to take away from captivity. At the same time, the headquarters stated that the Russian ombudsman had nothing to do with the negotiation process on the exchange of prisoners of war.

The Hromadske publication was told at the coordinating headquarters that it was not the first time Tatyana Moskalkova “voiced theses” “which are designed to undermine the Ukrainian society.” The headquarters assured that Kyiv always takes its soldiers, which Russia offers. “We are always fighting to ensure that the exchanges are as frequent as possible and that as many of our defenders as possible return,” the headquarters said.

The representative of the Ukrainian headquarters added that the list of Ms. Moskalkova acts as “additional information”, since Russia does not disclose information regarding prisoners of war. According to preliminary information from the Ukrainian side, some soldiers from the list have already been released.

The exchange of prisoners of war took place the day before, on March 7. Russia returned 90 soldiers, Ukraine – 130. Tatyana Moskalkova said that initially there was an agreement on the exchange according to the formula “160 for 160”, but Ukraine agreed to return only 90 people. Today, March 8, the Ombudsman published a list of 70 soldiers, saying that Ukraine “did not want to exchange them.”
