Ukraine: Injured in major fire in Odessa port

At least 13 people were injured, Governor Oleh Kiper said on Telegram on Thursday night. Images and videos published on the media’s Telegram channels showed flames at the scene and large clouds of smoke rising into the sky.

A media channel reports that the warehouse of a major postal and courier service was hit. A Russian statement was not available. Odessa is a frequent target of Russian attacks. In the past two days, eight people have been killed by rocket strikes in the city.

Ukrainian drone strikes

Meanwhile, Ukrainian drone strikes caused power outages in several Russian regions. In addition to the Kursk border region, the central Russian region of Oryol was also affected. The damage was caused when air defense units intercepted the drones over the Glazunovsky and Sverdlovskaya districts, wrote the governor of the Oryol region, Andrei Klitschkov, on Telegram on Thursday night.

He did not provide any information regarding deaths or injuries. In the Kursk region, the power supply in the small town of Poniri was paralyzed, the local governor Roman Starovoit said on Telegram. The drone was shot down. Repair teams are already on site to restore power.
