The Ukrainian Energy Minister assures that his country has enough energy resources to get through the winter.
Ukraine has accumulated sufficient energy resources to spend next winter peacefullyprovided that the resumption of Russian bombings does not cause too much damage to the networks, said Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko.
“We have enough energy resources and, in this regard, we are calm,” the minister said on Ukrainian television on Saturday evening. “The question is to what extent future (Russian) attacks may affect supplies.”

After reducing its intensity at the end of summer, Russia has resumed missile and drone attacks targeting Ukrainian energy infrastructure as the cold season approachesand aimed around sixty strategic targets in recent weeks, according to kyiv.

The Russian army worked to destroy the Ukrainian electricity network last winter to try to force the country to give up defending itselfregularly depriving millions of Ukrainians of light and heat.
German Galushchenko said he expected Moscow to employ the same tactic this winterlaunching massive missile and drone attacks as soon as temperatures reach fell permanently below zero degrees Celsius, following an exceptionally mild autumn. This should be the case from next week in kyiv and other regions.
