Ukraine.- Ecuador repatriates 319 Ecuadorians who were in Ukraine on a flight

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility of Ecuador, Juan Carlos Holguín, announced on Monday that Ecuador will carry out a first repatriation flight on Wednesday with 319 Ecuadorians who have left Ukraine.

“We have started the flight registration for the first humanitarian flight, whose plane has an air operation permit in Poland”, declared the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility of Ecuador, Juan Carlos Holguín at a press conference from Quito, as reported by ‘El Comercio’.

According to Holguín, 230 Ecuadorians are in Poland, 37 in Slovakia, 45 in Hungary, five in Moldova and two in Romania.

The plane that will make the first flight has capacity for 350 people, and, according to Holguín, Ecuador estimates that it will be full.

The minister has also reported that dozens of Ecuadorians studying in Ukraine have not yet been able to leave its borders and are in transit or waiting to leave.
