The intelligence of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense allocated a reward of 100,000 dollars, yesterday, Sunday, for the arrest of Igor Strelkov Girkin.
In the Jerusalem Post report, the newspaper revealed that Gherkin was a former agent of the Russian Federal Security Service and a key figure in Russia’s intervention in Ukraine in 2014, when Kremlin-backed separatists took over Slovansk in Donetsk.
“Girkin served as a military commander in Slovensk in the early months of the 2014 conflict. His nickname was Igor Strelkov, which means shooter in Russian, and he once boasted that he had sparked the war in Ukraine.”

According to the newspaper, Jerkin is wanted by the Netherlands for his participation in the downing of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 over Ukraine, killing 283 people.
The Security Service of Ukraine and the Prosecutor General’s Office filed a number of cases once morest Girkin on charges of terrorist activities, torture, murder and violation of state sovereignty.
