Mohammad Kaustar Hikat or more familiarly known as Uki was previously known as a member of the band Peterpan before finally changing his name to NOAH. In 2019, Uki decided to leave the band for several reasons. Uki’s wife, Metha Yuna, felt she had been tested when her husband told her the news.
The film star Eksklul admitted that he was surprised to hear the news that Uki had chosen to stop being a band following all this time. But what shocked him even more was the former NOAH guitarist’s statement regarding their household. Apparently, Uki felt that Metha Yuna would leave him following he was no longer active in the band.
There was a dialogue between the two of them regarding that. Metha Yuna also tried to give her husband her point of view.
“He said he still thought I would leave him with the condition that he was no longer at NOAH. I said ‘that’s not the point, if you say something like that it means you don’t know me’,” he said when he attended the Rumpi No Secret event on Monday ( 1/4/2024).
Metha Yuna’s loyalty to Uki seemed to be tested there. Moreover, at that time Uki gave him a difficult choice.
Uki invites Metha Yuna in case she wants a divorce. This immediately brought tears to his eyes.
“(I said) ‘I will still accompany you’. He even said ‘if for example I can’t make you happy, you can divorce me’. That’s what actually made me cry. (Then he said) ‘I beg you to be patient with me. “Me, I will make you happy. If I can’t do that, you can divorce me’. After that chat, we were together, together once more,” he recalled.
Metha Yuna and Uki have been married since 2009. The shock that occurred at the age of their 10th marriage was successfully overcome. The two of them now still live in a joint household.
Recalling the incident in 2019, soap opera star Cinta Fitri tried to understand her husband’s point of view. He felt that at that time Uki had considered what was best before deciding to leave the band that made his name.
“When he said (he wanted to leave NOAH), it was even sadder because all this time he and his mother (Wife of NOAH personnel) had been very close, and it seemed like he still believed it or not. But there he was already convinced that even if he left, he would do something “The best thing for his life is with his friends,” he concluded.
